I’m not happy, but the little things make this worth it.
Day 3 of 2012:
Positives - Matheson learned how to read a little bit more progressively than he usually does during his attempts at reading. Identifying letters with a little more accuracy when in random order and even counting how many there are of each particular letter in a sequence of letters were certainly some of the more outstanding things he’s done with enhancing his reading skills. I must say I am exceptionally proud and grateful.
I also discovered that Sarah 101 is on HGTV onDemand and I watched about 4 episodes before Matheson woke up this morning.
We had a good nap today, about 4 hours I’d say.
He’s feeling a lot better and his sickness is going away.
I ended off my evening by cooking a pretty good meal that definitely hit the spot - a western 3-egg omelette with a side of broccoli and cheese sauce. I’m damn well stuffed.
I finally have some “me” time because my parents decided to watch the Care Bears with Matheson and spend some quality grandparent time with him.
Right now I’m going to head straight to the novel I’m currently reading, not to forget the frothy hot chocolate at my side.
“Sometimes something immensely depressing will remain on our minds for a period of time that we have no way of forecasting or determining. It’s the little distractions that put smiles on our faces in our times of hopelessness that we realize happiness isn’t a condition, but a result—though temporary, it is simply the effect of an occurrence.”
